Jared has been a Woodbury resident for over ten years with a family history in the City stretching back generations. He holds two masters degrees in public administration and public affairs. Currently he is pursuing a PhD in public affairs at Rutgers University-Camden where he studies main street redevelopment efforts in South Jersey. He has been a community organizer since 2014 working alongside local, regional, and statewide organizations across all of New Jersey and West Philadelphia.
Jared has been an active community leader involved in numerous positions and projects in Woodbury. He was a part-time clerk at City Hall, a summer camp counselor at the Woodbury Child Development Center, and Program Lead for Civic Engagement with the 21st Century afterschool program. He has also sat on the Board of Trustees for The FAF Coalition, and currently supports the Neighborhood Preservation Steering Committee, 21st Century Learning Center & Community Consortium, and Woodbury Community Pride. He also created the local coverage podcast “Woodbury Voice!” in 2019 to highlight good community work across the city.
